WHO WE ARE
Family Equity Partners, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3), tax-exempt charitable organization located in Largo, MD (Prince George's County). We serve families throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia. Founded on Juneteenth 2020—three weeks after the brutal killing of George Floyd—we are dedicated to overcoming centuries of oppression and exclusion that have resulted in an underclass of families of color who still suffer gross inequities and barriers that hinder their quality of life.
Why Partners Are Important
Our mission cannot be accomplished alone. It takes a village of like-minded individuals and organizations to help people of color overcome forces that have held them back for centuries. With the help of partners who volunteer their time and talent, we work together to abolish the existence and lasting effects of systemic racism and discrimination.
How Partners Can Help
There are many ways our partners can help support families during 2024. A few examples are:
- Make a monetary donation on this website to foster our organization's mission and work.
- Join our virtual webinars, discussions, and learning collaboratives to promote family equity and transformative change.
- Donate your professional expertise and time to address the disparities and inequities that families of color are facing.
- Teach a virtual class of youth or adults to help them build skills in your area of expertise.
- Refer families that are marginalized due to their race, ethnicity, income, or culture, to participate in our collaboratives, programs, and services.
