WHO WE ARE
Family Equity Partners, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3), tax-exempt charitable organization based in Maryland. We serve families throughout the state and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Founded on Juneteenth 2020—three weeks after the brutal killing of George Floyd—we are dedicated to overcoming centuries of oppression and exclusion that have resulted in an underclass of families of color who still suffer gross inequities and barriers that hinder their quality of life.
Why Partners Are Important
Our mission cannot be accomplished alone. It takes a village—grassroots leaders, nonprofit and charitable allies, educators, faith communities, and everyday citizens—who share our commitment to justice and equity. Together, we help people of color overcome the forces that have held them back for generations. With the support of partners who volunteer their time, talent, and lived experience, we work to interrupt systemic racism and its lasting effects, building pathways to dignity, opportunity, and lasting change.

• Refer families who are marginalized by race, ethnicity, income, or culture to participate in our programs, collaboratives, and services.
